The Twain Meets: June issue of Home On The Course publishes next week

It's good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still rolling. – Mark Twain

Mark Twain never said anything directly, that we have found, about buying a golf community home.  But he did have much to say about the game of golf (none of it very nice), statistics, the weather, marketing and human behavior –- the great stew of factors all of us consider when searching for a home in a golf community.  In the June issue of Home On The Course, our free monthly newsletter, we reach back to aka Samuel Clemens to inform the judgments some of us will be making as we contemplate a vacation or retirement home oriented toward golf.  Also, we provide a list of nicely priced “discovery packages” at some of the best golf communities we have visited over the past few years.  These golf packages are an inexpensive way to spend a few days of quality time in a golf community that appeals to you before you commit to spending most of the rest of your life there.

If you don’t already subscribe to Home On The Course, signing up is easy.  Just go to the rectangular box at the top of this column, click on it, and follow the simple instructions (it should take about a half minute in all).  Once you sign up, I will personally send you a copy of the May issue; all future issues, including June, will arrive in your email inbox automatically.
